I bought this based on reviews that suggested it would work to be programmed which was my primary concern with aftermarket keyfobs. I took it to the dealership where I had my car serviced and paid $50 to program the fob and it WORKS! Yes, you can negotiate the price with the retailer. I checked 3 retailers, the cheapest I found was $49.95 (although the same retailer would charge over $200 for a keychain). This dealer wanted $80. I said I checked other retailers and if they match this price I will do it here otherwise I just go somewhere else and they agreed a lower price. I didn't need a key cut which was another $20 but they still did it unintentionally so I got lucky. The only flaws I see about this key ring are that the lettering is like new, there is no JEEP logo on the back and there is no small ring to attach to a keychain which can be problematic because you cannot attach it to other keys.
