These 8" cable ties are good for fastening anything up to 2" in diameter or less (their maximum effective wrap circumference is approximately 6.5"). They hold securely but are easy to remove. I've had them for about three days now and so far I've used them to secure items in a bike basket and some bulky T-bars in the garage. I plan to use one of these wrappers to temporarily cover the 30 gallon garbage bags we use to collect garbage in the yard. It can take several weeks to fill the bag and using one of these packs can keep the bags watertight until they are full and ready for disposal.
