When I gave her the saucer she never learned how to use it; She only used it as a stool to reach the top of her water bottle. Because of this, I let her run around the house in the hamster ball, but that wasn't enough. She was still too active and energetic when she returned to her cage. When I bought her the Silent Runner, I saw her run on a balance bike for the first time in a year and a half that I had been with her. . I sat in front of her cage and watched her run for a long time. Since I bought her this she hasn't tried to climb on a water bottle and fall 50 times a day. Removing the wheel part from the stand was very easy, as was the cleaning process. It was so quiet I couldn't hear her using it even if I sat a foot or two from the cage. It doesn't look or feel cheap. Pretty durable. I really liked it and it's worth the money! Definitely recommend this product instead of those cheap plastic wheels that squeak every second. I have a golden hamster and it was the perfect size for her.
