The color is a nice dark gray with a lighter gray on the back. It comes vacuum packed so I put it in the dryer for about 15 minutes, then took it out, shook it and put it back in for another 10 minutes. He's perfectly fluffy. The pillowcases were very wrinkled and I had to iron them for a while. They are also very tall, thin and skinny. If you want something solid standing on the edges, this isn't it. But overall I'm happy with how it looks, so I'm keeping it to myself. Oh and I have to say the duvet had a dark spot on the foot but as I covered that area with the duvet it didn't matter. I would also like to add that the blanket is warm and soft. I can sleep in a t-shirt and not be cold, but it's not difficult either. I would recommend this blanket.
