After five months of using it as primary storage on my new Fuji XT4, this card suddenly throws a horrible CARD ERROR message and I can no longer access my photos (fortunately I've tried making regular backups of the card make until you worked). , so I only lost the last ones I made before the problem showed up) Like any self-respecting computer geek, the first thing to try is DON'T PANIC and TRY NOT TO FORMAT before restoring your data. OH!. I've tried everything I could find online including installing and testing EaseUS Data Recovery, iCare Data Recovery, Testdisk, and PotoRec to no avail. As long as the Transcend card is plugged into the card reader (which works great with all my other SD cards by the way), all these tools freeze while scanning and the corrupted Transcend card is inaccessible. I'm not even sure if it can be accessed for formatting! (I'll put that aside for now and see if I can find a solution later, I've already spent hours reviving it.) Moral of the story: stick to reliable alternatives (my SanDisks have been working great for years) !
