I'll update this review little by little. I've been using Personna for a few years now and occasionally get a few bad blades in a row (maybe that's me). Anyway, I thought it was time to try something different. To be honest I thought this set had both the Astra and Feather and I wanted to compare them the most. I should have looked more closely. my fault Without blaming the seller (but this is a recommendation) A few more facts in case it matters. I'm in my 50's and use a butterfly screw razor and Prorasso green shaving soap (good stuff). I have a moderately thick beard. I have a moderately thick beard and prefer to use the blade during the week. Okay, to the blades. First Blade: Gillette 7 AM: One of the dullest blades I've ever used. It didn't hurt, but that's all I can say positively. I shaved 2 times in a row with the same blade and still had stubble. Next blade: Astra Blue Set (not platinum): great first shave. It may have irritated me a bit, but not enough to notice more than 15-30 seconds. No additional pressure. Just gentle careful strokes. Update: Astra Blue leaves no shaving marks and I can easily get 7 shaves with one blade Astra Green (Platinum) is equal or better Shark: inconsistent sharpness (Made in Israel): On my first blade but good so far after 3 shaves.
