Good product, fairly reliable. I'm swapping between a 15" MBP 2016 Touch Bar (USB-C) and a 12" MacBook. I have an LG UHG (HDMI) display and an old 30" Apple Cinema Display (Display Port). It's really nice to just plug a USB-C cable into the device (especially since the MacBook only has one) and you're done You're set and working - mouse, keyboard and USB backup drive, monitor and power A few notes: Throughput is only 45W - fine if you're using a 12" device as it only draws 30W, but a bit low for an MBP - it doesn't charge at full speed. 4K display is limited to 30Hz, if you want 4K/60Hz you'll need a different cable/adapter. the older 30" which is a mini -Display port is. Obviously it doesn't work with newer ones that have the same connector but need Thunderbolt support.
