I had a problem with the original chains that came with my kayak. I bought Scotty's mounts for all my accessories but nearly lost a $200 fishing rig twice because the original chains were too wide in the opening and when the big catfish got hooked it ripped the mount out of the chains. YakAttack's new tracks are much narrower, which is perfect for Scotty's mounts. I have provided two photos for comparison so you can see the difference. They are plastic but appear to be very durable. People complain about screws, but they are screws. They work fine. Allen key and socket wrench and done. 20 minute installation between removing the old rails and replacing the new rails. Definitely recommended.
