First off, this is a great little tool. The only negative, if you have a protective case like the UAG, for example, it will not work. If you don't have your Surface tablet in a case and prefer to use it without a case, this docking station is perfect for you! I've seen people complain about both USB ports not working; but maybe there is a problem with the voltage? I had a Logitech Unifying receiver in the bottom port and a known good USB stick in the top one. The flash drive was not visible, and yet when I flip it, PRESTO, it works perfectly! If you have an older Surface like 3, this is a good addition. Can work for 4; However, I don't want to open my UAG case to find out! Bottom line: if you want a thin docking station for the money, you can't beat it! If you complain that it doesn't work and Amazon doesn't get your money back. Depending on which state you live in, there are book laws for lemons. I am happy with my purchase. Why four stars versus five. Case UAG thing. To be honest any occasion I want to use and use this dock can be a problem.
