I bought it as a birthday gift. I thought I'd pull it out to make sure it's what I wanted and expected from it. And I can say that it is an extremely soft material, the memory foam is also very soft and I can definitely see how helpful it can be in preventing babies from flattening their heads. It can be used as a mini nursing pillow. While not very hard, it is incredibly soft with memory effect. I love the idea of this baby head aid because a lot of babies these days feel like they lie down a lot and have these problems from sitting in the chair for too long. And it can help a little bit in prevention. I'm sure my friend will be happy about it as a gift. And I hope she uses it often.
