Your turntable probably won't fit

I bought this piece to use as a simple media console that would work for both a TV and a turntable. Imagine my delight when I found this unit with what looks like a custom HiFi stack on one side. Unfortunately, this stack only has an internal width of 16 1/2 inches, while the standard width for most modern hi-fi is 17 inches. I wish I knew about these things sooner and hope Walker Edison will post more detailed dimensions in the future. The unit also arrived with minor damage, mainly scuffs through the lining on top. I'm really surprised it arrived in such good condition as the box it came in was practically torn. The overall build quality has actually exceeded my expectations for a piece of furniture at this price point. The veneer looks convincing and has a good texture. Soft-close doors work and feel good when properly adjusted, just like drawers. The legs are welded on a little sloppily and aren't perfectly vertical, but when properly aligned they can at least appear symmetrical. And the slanting legs are here, right? In the end, this piece of furniture did not meet my expectations at all. If you want to do something different, this might be a good choice.
