Review on Smart bracelet HONOR Band 5 Global, blue by Celina Stpie ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like everything, the price and the quality are both ok.

Since my club's built-in heart rate monitor frequently malfunctions, I primarily used it as a heart rate monitor to regulate cardio training on the track. In particular, this model also featured the capacity to measure blood oxygen levels; normally, this function is not very useful, but in the case of a coronavirus, it enables you to quickly and independently detect the development of pneumonia and get to the hospital. I was shocked to discover that the bracelet significantly underestimates the pulse in the beginning of use—rather than showing 150, it displays 100–110. But then I understood that all you actually need to do to get accurate readings is to tighten the strap all the way. As a result, I was pleased with the standard of work produced during training, and as an added bonus, the long-standing issue of missed calls and texts when the phone is in my pocket was resolved. The acquisition has met my expectations.

Pros
  • When worn, the bracelet hardly ever touches anything due to its lightness and thinness. The strap feels good to the touch and fastens easily. Nothing actually protrudes from below, the arm is under strain equally, and the bracelet does not rub. Even on the lowest settings, the screen is quite bright, and you can install different displays. The user design is standard and easy to use, but some of the functionality, like creating training plans, is subpar. A pulse meter is present, which is crucial in the Covid era. There is a native Huawei application with settings, data, and fashionable graphs.
Cons
  • Both the pedometer and the heart rate monitor are unpredictable. Although it is unclear how well sleep monitoring functions in this instance, the statistics reflect reality. Unable to connect the bracelet with charging while blind; not a very convenient charging connector. If this is something that comes naturally and easily, at least the method is not obvious. Since the interpretation of the readings from the bracelet depends on them, it turns out that it is not always possible to compute the steps due to the poor quality of the application's collection of programs. For instance, because there is no walking on the track, the actual distance traveled is 20–30% shorter.
