They fit just right, just a little big because the heel is on the ankle. This is typical as this sock was designed to match the series. I bought sock size 7/8, fits 9-11/2 preschooler shoes. My daughter technically wears 10 shoes but outgrows them (10 1/4 if they make shoes that size). I'm buying her a size 11 right now and I'm cutting the double insoles to her size so they're more comfortable and take up extra room. Sometimes I use 2 pads but one is thick. As she grows, I swap out the insoles for thinner ones so her shoes last longer. I wish the size ranges were smaller so your child's foot doesn't float in the sock and suffer from bruised toes from socks that are too small. I will buy a size smaller to see if they fit better. The sock stretches which is great. They fit well considering they are very cute. The ruffles are just enough to make you look pretty, but not too much, making them versatile enough to wear everyday in a sporty style, as well as to special occasions or to church. They can be worn as a guest to a wedding, but you may need something more elegant if your child is part of the wedding entourage. They look comfortable and are medium weight. Not too thick, but not so thin that it falls apart easily either. The toes seem strong. I will buy again.
