We were really excited about this ottoman set as our coffee table recently broke (glass top, metal legs and wooden compartment below) and we needed something more versatile. The 2 side poufs are ideal as footstools. They can be used as additional seating, but are more suitable for children due to their low height. The side stools fit perfectly in the bench with storage space, leaving some free space. The reversible top is perfect if you need a small table/tray for drinks or snacks or maybe TV/media remotes or game console controllers. There are 2 leather handles on the top so you can easily fold it to the side of the tray but they are a little unsightly. We've tried tucking them in when using the faux leather side, but that makes flipping them tricky - you'll have to lift the bench on the side to pop out at the top - there are other fixes for this, but since we're going we'll basically do the tray side use, we will simply tuck the leather handles under the tray (although this will make it difficult for the tray to sit flush with the top of the bench). The side of the tray has side handles that come in handy when you need to take out the side stools or reach things you store in the bench. The faux leather looks beautiful and matches the natural leather furniture we already have. I've uploaded some pictures so you can see how it looks with the faux leather front and leather handles. A NOTICE. Be careful when ordering from Revain.com even if the kit we received was clearly USED. The tray had nicks in the wood and you could see the wood where the black paint had chipped. What really gave it away as used was when I turned on the lamp in our living room and the light hit the side of the tablet and there was a scratch on the tablet that appeared to be covered by permanent marker. At least the set we received was a return and Revain still sold it as NEW. I contacted Revain customer service and because we didn't want to hassle with returning the kit and waiting for a replacement, Revain partially refunded us $10.
