Cheap jute rope. As others have said, an excessive kerosene smell will require multiple washes/heats to remove. The large slivers of fiber present in the rope require considerable force to break/remove. Lots of fluff, needs to be lit. However, a good turn on the rope and after the preparation. and oily, silky smooth with a golden brown color. I wouldn't trust it for suspension after removing large slivers of fiber, even 8mm diameter, but overall a decent rope. Given the water, propane, and detergent required, it may not be worth the savings.
