firstly i have a couple of computers. I got this for my Dell Inspiron 3558 as a replacement because the charger I had wasn't the right voltage and it had a converter adapter. the computer even issued a warning upon startup. This is not an official Dell charger here, but it is for this computer's voltage specifications. Now the bios can detect the correct voltage of the new charger, so that's good. I let the computer die completely, removed the battery, and held the power button for about 60 seconds to drain the capacitors. Then I used this new one to reload it. it works great and i had no problems with it. My laptop charges well and runs at peak performance.
