There are several mysteries about what happens to your body as you age. One such secret is that the texture of your hair changes over time, several times in fact. I used to be able to have my hair done almost anything I wanted. But once it turned gray (early early 30s; all gray mid to late 40s), the texture changed from coarse (and even easier to style) to superfine and fine. So this week/month/year I have struggled to find the right product for each texture, thickness and volume of my hair. For now (and for the foreseeable future) it's very thin and quite thin and this product works MIRACLES on it. It doesn't take much - less than a coin-sized smudge in the palm of my hand - and I combine it with another gel smudge or mouse pad for volume. I've tried dozens of products over the past decade and many of them still live in a partially used bottle in my first aid kit. But thanks to Redken, I think I've found the holy grail. At least until I have another unexpected hair change!
