I used this saddle soap, leather dye, conditioner, steel wool 0000 and flexible foam sanding pad (220 grit) to polish three leather sofas, twelve of which I own have years. It is important that the soap foams and absorbs into the skin; It cleans and cares and you simply wipe it off with a clean cloth or cloth. To repaint my sofa I saddle soaped it then used dark brown paint and then applied leather conditioner, leaving the leather conditioner on overnight; The next day I carefully sanded the worn and worn areas, saddle soaped again, painted where the sanding had removed some of the paint and did the conditioning a second time. I will do it again next week but below are photos of three sofas. They look like they are new and if I were smart I would lather and condition them annually. Luckily the sofas are in good leather and have responded well to my renovation.
