I work on a golf course and have been using them all winter shoveling sand traps. This is the heaviest job I've ever used them for. If there was anything hard or dirty, I used leather work gloves. They didn't even last 3 months before the toes fell apart so far that they could no longer be worn. If you just need gloves to keep your hands warm, these will do.
