It fits under my bed but I don't push it all the way in, it just stabilizes the chair so it can't tip over or slide down. That makes it perfect for my height and bed height. I can get up and sit or lie down without fear of slipping. It weighs very little, so I can move it easily. It's also easy on the eyes, but that's just an added benefit. The main purpose is to make it easier for me to get in and out of a bed that is too high for my short legs, and for that it's perfect.
