I first tried this product because I was so tired of changing the cable that's connected to my Mac. At least 4 where the cable broke plus in the computer. I've tried everything possible. I inserted a metal coil to make it more flexible and glued it on to make it more stable. I bought a phone cord (rolled up) and it helped a little. Those stupid cords are $80 a piece or so. Decided to try this. Received circa 28th July 2016. Inserted cable approximately 10 inches. That's the longest time without changing that stupid cable. YES SIR. There are no cracks or breaks on the Sugru yet. It's now May 14, 2017, so quite a bit of time in my opinion. A few weeks ago I bought a treadmill. There are about 3 inch balls on the handle of the machine that you can hold on to for balance. One of the rubber balls (this one) was broken in pieces. We have already assembled this item and it worked great, there was only one problem, the lime green ball could be used, but since it is used for balance, my right hand continued to feel uncomfortable, baggy and felt rough on more Sugru and place it on top of the ball. Place it in the hollowed out area first then smooth out the bits etc. Let it dry for 24 hours (mandatory and yes I did this after also clipping it onto my computer cable) . almost ideal! I had to take my time applying it because I needed to fill in scratches and smooth out a pretty decent area of damage, about 2 inches around one side of the ball. Sugar green isn't exactly green, but close enough for me! (photo attached) Perfect solution! Not sure why another one didn't work for her. The biggest test so far has been the cable on my computer because it has worked perfectly for so long. And I use the computer on my lap, so the cable flexes and moves, slips in and out, etc. And until Apple decides to stop ripping people off and make a decent cable for their laptops, this is the best solution. You will see 2 colors of Sugru (From the small packs I should have used 2 colors for such a long range and yes it is curved because I put it that way so it works better when bent into the computer while I'm on my knees). It's important not to rush things. It is important to allow time to cool down. at least 24 hours. Incredibly happy!
