I will keep this item because I managed to get it working for me but the biggest problem is the ball head doesn't work. goes well with the threaded rod. It seems that the head (female) threads are not exactly the same size as the shaft (male) threads, causing the head to wobble and not being a stable platform, in my case for a camera attached to a ball head. I had to wrap a piece of tape around the stem threads and patiently push the ball head against it to make the connection more secure. Not perfect.
