Like another customer, I followed the recommendation of this dimmer I saw on YouTube from a famous hobby aquascaper. The instructions are credit card sized and mostly useless. I programmed a dimmer and a timer. I was pleased with how the brightness of my Twinstar gradually faded in and out. After the end of the photoperiod, the light was turned off. I went to another room to watch TV. Before I went to bed I wanted to check my office and noticed that there was a dim light above my tank. I checked my program and thought I missed something. nope There was no moonlight period in the program. I reprogrammed the device. In the morning I found that the light was back on. I find the programming function confusing. Only once was I able to program the dimmer so that the light didn't stay on all night. However, after a slight adjustment in the length of the photoperiod, the night light continued to turn on about an hour after the lights were turned off. There is no reset button to clear the previous program. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if the device is defective. I see the previous reviewer had the same issue so I think it's a defect. I'm looking for another device because this thing is useless.
