need a thicker hair clip for old age that holds finer hair and it really is; however, the white color dissolves after prolonged use (as painted). stronger than store-bought bobby pins and will hold up better. take it to the hairdresser when you do your hairdressing and it will hold up better (the hairdresser likes it a lot). retains its shape unlike cheaper pens that crumple. I would give all 5 if the white doesn't wear off/peeling but will definitely order again if more are needed.
