I bought 2 of these crayon sets for my kids in preparation for our LONG trip last Christmas which included multiple flights across the country and back). My children were 4 and 7 years old at the time. The travel time in both directions was more than 12 hours per day. I hoped that by purchasing separate travel sets for each child they could easily have fun and not lose their pens. IMPRESSIVE! These sets did NOT disappoint. You are absolutely AMAZING and we will be customers for life! In the future I plan to buy a few more sets (again for my kids and as gifts for EVERY artist). These sets are the MUCH BEST colored pencils I have ever seen. And they instantly turned both little kids into incredible performers! They have so many great features that I don't even know where to start. First, let me say that we have experienced extremely long flight delays, unfortunately resulting in us being stuck at airports for 5-6 hours at a time. It was Christmas time so it was VERY crowded and the kids often didn't have enough space. However, these sets and coloring books were sent from heaven. Both kids just quietly colored for hours. Strangers kept commenting on how impressive they were. They both had iPads, but instead they would just pull out their painting sets on the go most days and do it for her. I speak on the ground at the airport, on the planes themselves, while waiting for luggage, in a rental car. EVERYWHERE, EVERYWHERE, EVERYWHERE! They're also not the kind of kids who just sit down and draw. As far as I can credit pencils for their behavior. I tell you my husband and I were blown away by how much they loved these pens! Here are some of the truly amazing features of this product: 1. The zippered pocket is one of the many great features. As my kids are only 4 and 7 years old we have a big problem with all the painting sets - missing parts, unable to open or close the box by yourself, put everything together etc. Both kids were responsible for their own affairs and there were no problems with the smooth opening, closing and tracking of everything itself.2. Each pencil is numbered! It seems like a very simple concept, but it's REALLY amazing. I have some OCD and am a designer so I really enjoy keeping things organized and in place. The fact that the color set is numbered and you know exactly how to order them is pretty cool. Especially with a kid at an age where she's still learning to count to 100 and identify numbers visually, it was pretty cool and made her feel important. This is a great way to stay organized.3. Not to mention the great case, but EACH and EVERY pencil has its own elasticated slot for the holder. So it is very easy to see if a color is missing. It's also great for kids of this age to help them not lose their pens (which is almost impossible at this age). It's VERY easy though, as I say take out just one pin at a time and make sure you put it back where it needs to be before picking up the next color. I know it's a little crazy for kids trying to grab a million flowers at once. but it really helped us not to lose one during this 10 day trip as we stayed in 5 different places. We ALWAYS moved on the go and they never lost their pens. Another thing it was great for was when we were missing a pencil or two because they are numbered and organized, we knew what color was missing to look for and we could find it. 4. The quality of the pencils themselves is phenomenal. These are wax based pencils that sharpen very easily and sharply. The color quality is second to none. The variety of paper surfaces they can paint on is impressive. The color brilliance is also very good. Even many months later, my kids are still using their crayon sets every day and watching YouTube how-to videos for hours and can draw MUCH better than me (or any other adult I know). FYI, the Art for Kids Hub YouTube channel is absolutely amazing. If your kid is an aspiring artist, ask them to watch some step-by-step videos here and you will be amazed at how amazingly they can draw. All in all I have to say it was a truly amazing discovery. I was just looking for something to help us on a journey, but now I've found a lifetime product that we will love forever! Thank you for creating such a wonderful product!
