Review on 🐱 Sofa-Scratcher™: The Ultimate Cat Scratching Post & Furniture Protector Combo by Kristi Ratz

So the decision to buy this item made me sick. Finally I decided to take a chance. Precious Pumpkin, our spoiled but cute girl, loves morning exercises in a certain corner of our new sofa. She didn't scratch him too hard, but after a while it caught my attention. I tried to build my own cat scratching post for the corner but now I don't have one. Then I searched all over the internet and Etsy for one made by someone else, but I didn't like anything other than this one. The price put me off until my husband, who like me tries not to spend good money when it's not worth it, reminded me that it's better to spend $$ to protect our $$$$ sofa. Well, Pookie (nickname of Pumpkin, which she sure likes) is scratching that thing. It took about a day to get used to, but now she scratches it all the time. More specifically, he stretches out his claws and sits awkwardly, hanging down the top half of his body and looking at me with an "I'm too lazy to even care" look. several times a day. I'm taking off 1 star because I want it to be more like a corner scratch. It works like a corner scraper and I can understand why they chose that shape - sofas come in all shapes and sizes and people use them on different parts of the sofa, not just the corner. So you have one item that can be used for multiple purposes. I'm taking off another star because she leans away from the couch while scratching. Pox doesn't seem to mind at all (maybe even thinks it's fun?), but I don't like the way it looks. a good product. Although I have an update. Now this thing flies off the couch no matter what I do. Unfortunately I wasn't paying attention and only looked today and there are scratches behind the thing on the sofa :( :( :( I watched her scratching (we have more than one cat, only one thinks it's hers) and me *thought* they just scratched it although it bent when they did it. I think they go around it a few more times. It doesn't look as bad as it could but there definitely is one now Damage. I just received an Amz gift card for an early Christmas present, so I think I might be crazy enough to try a new 90° angle shape (instead of being curved like this one.) Our 90° sofa isn't curved so it should fit in. I just hope it doesn't have that kinking issue.Update 2021 It's been a while but we ended up having a pair of right angle scratching posts.MUCH better.As they lay on their side still in good condition they also like to use it that way :) We also have Added 2 more kittens since the original review. 4 house cats now hahaha Pumpkin has learned to share but she is still the queen.
