We have two cats that have been abused by the breeder and have never been socialized. When I finally tried this product, it made a big impression on her. You have become more confident and relaxed. I recently noticed that the space where our male likes to hang out is running low on supplies, and I made a mental note to order more. A few days later my husband mentioned that he was acting a little upset and I realized I hadn't ordered it. I managed to get by without new diffusers, but this time it was all I could get. When I hooked it up my husband wasn't home and when he got home he mentioned that our husband seemed to be doing better. He didn't even know I had replaced the blank pad! This is the difference for our two cats. Incidentally, neither new nor old blocks have ever smelled. I've heard bad reviews about the new diffusers and kept checking them, but there were no oil leaks and they were actually colder than the old ones. The only thing I noticed was that when I put the refill in, there was a film of oil all over the diffuser. The same thing happened to the other block but there was no oil on the floor or walls next to it. I can't complain about that. I also read that diffusers don't need to be changed for twelve months, which greatly reduces the cost of use. Happily I can say that this product has helped us socialize and calm two kittens who behave differently than other cats of their breed, they are two healthy 12 year old cats with their own character and sense of humour. We like her very much. I don't think they would be what they are today without this product.
