I have tried replacing many lamps with bases of this size and this is the first lamp that is brighter than the original. I used it for backup bulbs and center brake light with W16W bulbs. For a 3 bulb brake light I can find that it is noticeably brighter than the other bulbs. As easy to install as a regular light bulb. I would definitely take them again. I find the brightness of 1500LM excessive. Assuming that conventional car bulbs are as efficient as domestic bulbs, at 1500 lumens they would be brighter than a 75W incandescent bulb. Headlight 55W.
