I bought this item to protect my beloved Chihuahua's wound after breast surgery to remove a tumor so he wouldn't scratch the stitching. Much to my dismay, she suffered a congestive heart attack a few days after the surgery and died before the item was delivered. I donated it to the vet clinic where their vet was working for someone else. This is a soft and nicely tailored rescue suit suitable for dogs and cats. If your cat or dog is scheduled to have surgery, please book it in advance so it will be available after surgery. FYI: Those cones (electronic collar) won't stop them from scratching wounds with their paws or hind legs! They only prevent them from licking or biting them! You can peel them off many times! My Chihuahua had surgery on 9/3/19. I ordered this on 9/5/19 and it arrived after she died on 9/7/19! I wish I had received it in advance. The doctor said we have to make sure the bandages and stitches stay clean, dry and intact. She wanted to scratch him, and if she had a survival suit, she wouldn't be able to reach him. We had to monitor them 24/7 to stop them. I miss her so much
