I understand the need for external dimensions, but internal dimensions are also important. One of the reasons I chose this bag was because it has a large inner pocket, however the organizer I ordered based on the measurements given is VERY large! If anyone has the same idea as me, here are the inside measurements: 11 inches wide, 5 inches deep, and I wouldn't go over 7 inches tall or it will stick out at the top. Otherwise I think it's a great bag. The gray color is lighter than in the photo, with a purple tint, but I still like it. The minimalist design is exactly what I was looking for. The construction seems solid but I will update this review in 3-6 months. The bag is very rigid, which suits me perfectly. The detailing under the handles are small pyramid shaped rivets instead of flat grommets, but I don't use manual handles so they cover them up anyway. The stitching under the handles is a little frayed, but given the price of this bag, I'm willing to cut it off and forget about it. The hooks on the shoulder strap make a stable impression. Overall I love this bag. I can't wait to use it when the organizer comes out the right size! 12 month update: This morning the clasp on my shoulder strap broke. But I was very concerned about this bag, I carry tons of weight in it. I think if I just used it as a handbag and not as a makeshift backpack it might hold up better. Overall I'm still very happy with this bag.
