What store tests revealed!

Before I installed this light on my van I found the following. I bought three 12" Nilights to install but first put all three through a series of tests. They draw 75W but nowhere near 12.6V, they only draw 2.4A which is only 12.6 x 2.4 = 30.24W not 72W. Furthermore, 12 headlights and 12 headlights are declared. I found that even when the reflectors were slightly different, there was NO hot spot in the center of the beam. Conclusion - it's just a good headlight. As for some of the reviews that said they had a condensation problem, I could see where this might be happening. The plastic front screen is pressed against the inner seal with 12 front mounted hex bolts that press directly on the plastic without using a pressure plate, which causes the front plastic to be pressed unevenly, but the main problem is the open groove. around the lens where water can enter the sealing area and pool in the bottom slot until it can penetrate. The only reliable solution I can see is silicone coating around the lens, as well as silicone coating on all 10 front screws and three end caps to keep moisture out of the screw threads. After tightening the screws, take paper towels in small pieces and wipe off the excess silicone leaving only a stain around the screws and in the hole in the head, this is normal. two end caps have a rubber seal. The only thing left is the hole for the wires in most brackets that faces down and that shouldn't be a problem, but you can tape over it. Now let everything dry overnight. Note: Use clear or black genuine 100% silicone. Never use silicone II. I repeat, NEVER! ---from HERB THE POWERMAN---
