Review on Workshop Warehouse Backyard TSEXES Lighting 100V-277V by Michael Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Please check the base size and mounting requirements before purchasing.

I ordered two of these (120w and 100w) for my residential garage with high ceilings. Immediately I found that to use them in a standard US outlet I had to order an e26 to e39 adapter. When researching the size of the base, I also noticed that these lamps should be installed vertically, face down, not up, not horizontally, not at an angle. This severely limits their use. I haven't been able to determine if they can be used outdoors either. In the case of light bulbs, there was no such information. It's definitely my fault for not seeing the e39 socket issue before ordering and I should have looked more deeply into the assembly issue, but I wanted to post this review in case it helps anyone else. I'll report back with a review of how well they work once I have the adapters. I am back. Assuming industrial users aren't likely to buy here, I'd say they're fine for home use, but the bulky size and weight make them less than ideal for some applications. Plenty of light and very good 360° lighting (in contrast to flower-shaped LED lamps). They will come in handy in my high ceiling garage. One problem: They seem a bit loose and wobbly in their sockets considering how heavy they are - especially. 120 watts - could be a problem. I thought it might be an e26-e39 adapter but it screws into the standard socket just fine so the bulb socket is a bit small. This may not be an issue with the e39 socket, but again this is most likely to be seen in industrial use. Ironically, the 100W unit has an audible built-in fan, while the 120W unit does not. 120 lights up a fraction of a second longer than 100.
