Soft, comfortable and warm. I would say this is an average weight. Not too light and not too heavy - perfect for everyday use. Inside the large hood pocket is a small pocket perfect for small items like lip balms. However, it's not big enough for a phone; I have an s10 and my phone doesn't fit in it which is ok but wanted to give an idea of the size of the little bag. I usually wear a plus size sweatshirt, I ordered a large and it fits as expected. I'm 5'4 180 pounds. I just ordered my second sweatshirt. I wish they had more colors for the plus size, I would buy them all lol
