The dustproof ruffle is off high quality 100% Egyptian cotton fabric (as stated on the fabric label) After washing the ruffles in warm water (cold recommended) and tumble drying the 19" drop reduced to about 18", but that's exactly it Length I wanted. This dusty ruffle needs an iron and is well constructed with a 3/4" double hem so it hangs nicely. The fabric that goes under the mattress is also cotton. Pay a little more because of that the cotton was worth it.
