Cute little 2DS! for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS

Of course I recently bought this 2DS, just as Nintendo is introducing a newer and cheaper switch. Anyway, that didn't stop me from enjoying this 2DS. It's technically the same as any other 2DS but with a different outer shell. I had (and actively use) 3DS XL, New 3DS and New 3DS XL. I have not used any other 2DS. As such, this DS is much lighter and, in my opinion, easier to hold than any other 3DS version. I'm not a big fan of the bottom cover that covers the cassette and SD. Card slot but I suppose it's better for kids. (So they don't accidentally throw away and lose the game.) The stylus is also MUCH shorter. Not telescoping, and even I had trouble using it. (I have small hands.) I'm not sure the exposed lenses of the camera will be a negative in the long run. So far so good with mine, but I'm also a lot more careful with this 2DS than most. I would definitely recommend the bag if you are buying this laptop for a child. All indicators on the front panel are different. Not bad, but not always seen well. The notification light is built into the hinge, love it! The hinge is really good but I don't know if I trust this design. Again, I'm more careful than most and haven't had any issues, but I have a feeling a misplaced grain of sand can ruin it. (I don't live near a beach and I strongly recommend NEVER using the DS on the beach.) The top screen also differs from other DSs by opting for glossy black bars. I love how it looks! It looks much more modern and elegant. The speakers are now on the bottom due to the redesigned screen. They sound good until you accidentally cover them with your hands. Thank goodness this DS comes with a charger in the box! In the past, Nintendo didn't provide chargers for their 3DS, which were very cheap. Oh, and as an added bonus, the pins work! Makes it easier (and safer) to carry. Now specifically about this 2DS. It's beautiful and definitely an eye catcher! Bright and rich yellow with brown accents. Pikachu's nose is pointing up, which looks really cute. Red cheeks are also slightly raised. And one last little bonus I noticed after a few weeks: the little dotted nose and cute smile are actually made out of soft rubber, not hard plastic. It is very sweet. So basically: It's a 2DS XL, but the cuteness factor made it totally worth it for me.
