These exceeded my expectations. The fabric is thick enough to last for several seasons but not so thick that it will be too hot in the south where I live. I love the cotton content. Yes I know it will shrink some, that is what I wanted. I purchased these to wear gardening and walking. I bought a size larger than I would normally buy because I know after many washings and dryings they will shrink some. The light gray color and darker gray go with lots of different colored tops. I looked at many different styles before choosing these and I am very happy with my purchase.
