I have been using the charcoal scrub to exfoliate my skin and the bath lasted about a year with exfoliating every week. I liked that the crystals were smooth on my skin instead of rough. The charcoal was a deep cleaner. The only problem is that even with a washcloth, lots of soap, and constant washing, the charcoal was incredibly difficult to wash off. I often got out of the shower thinking I had washed all the black charcoal particles off my skin, only to find my pale skin taking on a black cast that was very difficult to wash off. The newly discovered apricot scrub St. Ives Fresh Skin is a really great scrub for sensitive skin, easy to rinse off and long lasting. It also costs $3.50 each compared to $19 for a charcoal scrub. St. Ives won straight away.
