I bought the HP w2338h hoping it would deliver on its promise of a VGA connection to my computer and an HD connection to an AT&T U-Verse HDTV. It makes it so beautiful, replacing both the old CRT and the aging TV. The only problem right now is the speakers: HP's built-in speakers are terrible - tinny, empty, weak. But that should soon make up for itself, because the Motorola VIP 1200 that came with AT&T's U-Verse has separate stereo audio outputs in addition to HDMI connections. A pair of boosted speakers should solve the problem when they're added in the next few days. But a monitor - just like a visual monitor - is excellent, better than the TV and CRT it replaced. Added with HD to sweeten my arrangement even more.
