This star projector is much more cumbersome to use than similar products, even cheaper. There are fragile plastic parts that you have to wrap to change the picture instead of doing it with the remote control. It's made of much cheaper plastic than similar star projectors, so it's not fun to use or look at. I would be willing to delve into these things if the images it projects into space were bright enough to be enjoyed. Instead, the images were dark even in a completely dark environment. I recently bought a couple of Star projectors and this one is no match. Two stars instead of one because it offers a wider range of images than planetarium-style devices. These images are intended for children, not romantic twinkling starscapes for adults, but some consumers may like these options.
