First of all the sound quality is fantastic for me (for what it is). I will refrain from making my claim as there is a stark contrast between any type of headphone and these types of devices. While the sound is strikingly clear and stunning, it sounds a bit flat in comparison. And that's largely because there's no way to actively reduce ambient noise outdoors and the way sound gets to your ears. In fact, this is the most important thing. So if you can get past that and realize that these aren't your favorite Bose or Beats headphones, then you're a man of gold. However, I love her. The reason I bought them was because I'm not a big fan of oversized headphones unless I'm traveling on a plane and I love EarPods, but they often don't fit my ears properly and I prefer noise around me not to completely drown out . . Because these glasses shine. They allow you to hear your surroundings without completely covering your ears. But that doesn't mean you can't make them loud enough that you can actually drown them out, or make it much harder for you to focus on the sounds around you. I like that aspect, but I know that when it's fully on, people close to you (within about 10 feet) will most likely hear what you hear. It won't sound muffled for you, just quiet enough to fully understand what you're hearing, much clearer than if you were wearing headphones or earphones. That doesn't bother me much. I rarely talk about things or listen privately to what I absolutely need. And if I did, I'd just turn the volume down, so that's what I hear first, and it becomes a lot harder for those within 3 feet to hear what you're hearing. The ultimate benefit for me is the freedom of not being dependent on which device I need to uninstall depending on what I'm doing. However, for me they have some disadvantages. The most important thing is the look and the fit. These pieces look like celebrity style sunglasses with a very uncharacteristic design. You are not skinny at all and will surely draw attention to your face and even more so when people realize what you are capable of. This can be both good and bad depending on how comfortable you are with that aspect. I like things to fall into place and look as normal as possible. So it would be ideal for me to downsize and offer a durable black plastic frame that has a more versatile fit, design and size. And my face is more oval so they fit quite big. I only wear them for about two weeks and mostly use them at night when I don't need to see as much as I wear prescription glasses. I haven't had a chance to see if I can enlarge them and adjust my personal prescription so I can wear them more often. Especially while driving or switching from Bluetooth to glasses in the car without missing a single moment of my conversation or anything else I'm hearing. For me, they were big enough that I could wear them over prescription glasses and still hear everything I was hearing. I'm a sight fanatic and wear glasses less so I can see and hear at the same time. Also, I'm not a fan of written instructions, I understand they read as if they were translated into English from another language, so they're not as clear as they could be for features and controls. And I'm a decent techie, but I'm not a fan of how they're controlled by long and short hand presses to adjust or select functions. However, this is easily fixed by simply using the Bluetooth controls on your phone to avoid having to go through all the extra steps. I like the on/off buttons and I can see why there are two instead of one as they are two standalone hands with Bluetooth functionality. I know that this company has another pair of glasses for sale here at Revain and I intend to check them out. because they are available in both white and black with a much more subdued visual appeal. But while researching them, even though they advertise interchangeable magnetic lenses, I still haven't figured out how and where to pick different designs for them. Once I do that I will switch to them. They cost around $100 and the rest sell for around $130. I bought them because they were cheaper, they had good reviews and I wanted to test the sound quality myself. My cons aside, they're a win so far and I'll definitely consider buying another pair as I can uncover the options for changing the magnetic lenses. I will likely add an update to this review once I receive my recipe and provide a concluding thought section on how this piece performed and if any aspects of the design or sound quality have changed. UPDATE: MARCH 07, 2021 So I paid the full $300+ with the refurbished prescription lenses I added to these glasses. Overall I'm still happy with them, I've found that since I've been using them more often I now notice another small downside. Sometimes the Bluetooth hands were out of sync and other times the audio was a bit off. It happens often enough to notice, but not often enough to break the deal. Also, the range is amazing, I can be away from my phone upstairs and still get a super clear signal when my phone is downstairs in our kitchen. Great feature. I have bought prescription blue colored progressive lenses and the lens manufacturers I use have not had to adapt the glasses to my lenses at all. They simply took out the lenses, measured them, measured where my pupils were in the center of the lens, and put in my prescription once the lenses were made and ready. I was able to use them for driving straight away and the glasses seamlessly switched from my car directly to my glasses via Bluetooth without missing a beat during a call.
