Like many before me, I finally ran out of Gillette Fusion and Mach3 blades and had no intention of spending more money on Gillette or Proctor and Gamble products. After reading many reviews of the Schick Quattro and Hydro, I finally gave up on the Quattro. Firstly, the reviews that the hair was not washed from the blade were correct. That really annoyed me the first time. The shave quality was excellent. I usually shave every 4 days. I used to shave every day, but as I got older I got lazy. Due to the inability to wash my hair out in between, I now shave every day again. It glides smoothly without friction and cuts in one pass. Double pass in certain areas for me, like Gillette. The Quattro excels at shaving the daily stubble quickly, everything else takes a long time, something Gillette users aren't used to. This blade is a great replacement for Gillette blades IF YOU SHAVE DAILY. If you do this every other day or more you will be very disappointed. My rating in the test report refers to the daily shave. Otherwise I would put "2". Shaving in itself is fun but frustrating when 2 minutes of physical shaving becomes 10 minutes due to the blade design.
