Great jacket. Very soft and thick. It should definitely keep my niece warm in our mild winters. It goes with boots. It also seems well made and not as tight or flimsy as I thought. The buttons are also well made. I would say the biggest hurdle for you when choosing this jacket will be the size. My niece can last up to 2T for 24 months but I took 2-3T just in case. It's going to be a bit big for her, but I know it's going to shrink like crazy after washing, so I'm not too worried about that. She also has a smaller physique because she was a premature baby, so I'd say it's safe to stick with your baby's true size with her. Overall I highly recommend it as a warm jacket for your child or toddler.
