Review on Organize Your Home With ClosetMaid'S Adjustable Pantry Cabinet Cupboard: Perfect For Kitchen, Laundry Or Utility Room Storage! by Leah Griffin

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Very disappointed on my review.

I had to send the first one back because, it was damaged. I do like the fact that Best Buy will send someone to pick it up. Since, it’s really heavy. I didn’t realize that particle board and cardboard weighed so much. One the 2nd one, after put on the hinge and attempting to close the door. The hinge popped out. I tried using a weed filler for where the screws no longer fit. But, after attaching the hinge, again. Then trying to close the door. The hinge popped off and the screws took the wood filler with it. The third time was a charm. I put the hinge and screws in place then used Gorilla Glue to fill the holes with. That worked. Just in case, I then used the glue on the other hinge. After standing the cabinet up, I let go of it. I’m glad my reflexes were good because, I am not very big. I would have been squashed. For safety reasons, I used the piece they sent and attached it to a wall stud. Then opened the doors and added a screw by each of the shelves attaching them to the wall stud, also. Make sure you secure this cabinet to a stud. Otherwise, it will definitely fall down. With it’s heavy weight, might take your sheet rock or at least some part of it, on the journey down. For the price and it being Closetmaid, I was really shocked by how extremely cheaply made it is. When I read the term, freestanding, I think, it will actually be able to stand on its own. I don’t think, I will have to secure it. Maybe they meant, it’s freestanding after it tries to take you out and is laying face down. If they did, they were correct. It had no problem standing on its own, face down. With the plastic piece and extra screws I used to attached it and the Gorilla glue on the hinges. It will last for a lot longer than it would have. Just in case you were wondering, Gorilla Glue is awesome. I definitely recommend using Gorilla Glue if you need something to stay put.

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • The cabinet may be too loud when opening and closing
