We have a 17 year old boy who had respiratory problems and allergies and was close to death 5 years ago. We tried prescription vet food which was awful - not even real food. We then switched to raw food which has proven successful for about 4 years. However, all raw dog foods contain bones, and bones put a strain on older dogs' livers, which is why we switched to Forza 10. We feed dogs both wet and dry food in combination. Our dog transitioned with no problem (we didn't have to slow down the transition) and actually really enjoys the food. Wet dog food - fish is ideal for dogs with itching and allergies. We alternate between Sensitive Skin and Dermo for dry dog food. Its price is comparable to a raw vegetable, but it is easier to store and serve. We also like the science behind it. Worth a try for sure.
