Before deciding to replace the low beam headlights with LEDs on my 2012 Dodge Ram, which was supposed to have the darkest headlights ever, I decided to try these relatively inexpensive LED fog lights to make sure they would work in go in the right direction. A friend of mine with the same truck but updated fog lamp housing 2013-2019 also switched to LED bulbs. Well I finally had a 3 hour drive home in the dark to test out their new LED bulbs and that's a big step. return. The original halogen bulbs in my cases cast a low beam, wide and brighter than the low beam. I actually really think this is the only area of exterior lighting that Dodge installed directly on my truck. But with these built-in LED bulbs, there is no obvious improvement to the normal lighting area that the fog lights are supposed to cover. Instead, they now direct the light everywhere and even through the low/high beam. The original halogen bulbs are better/safer in my car and I will return to them. I just wanted to warn others about my findings.
