Review on Experience Effective Blackhead Removal with Equate's 5oz Blackhead Clearing Scrub: A Great Alternative to Clean and Clear by Jamie Prezant

This product is quite comfortable, if not perfect. It doesn't live up to its name but is good for a few other purposes. Generally very happy with them. Pros: It cleans the skin well, after which it becomes cool and smooth, which is great. I use it once a day in the shower. I run hot water over my face, massage it in, leave it on for a while and then wash it off. You can really feel (and see) the cleanliness when you're done. It also SIGNIFICANTLY reduces oil. I used to be the kind of person who had to wipe my face multiple times a day because I had so much oil - not anymore! And again I only use it once a day so I'm very surprised I can get through the rest of the day without having to hold blotters to my face. That's one of my favorite things about this product. All of my oil just evaporated, but it doesn't leave my face dry at all. Cons: It doesn't really remove all blackheads or clear sebum. I am sorry. I've noticed their reduction but they're still there, especially on my nose. All it does is minimize them and make them less noticeable, just like an astringent. But if you look at your face in good light, you can still see the little black dots. It doesn't matter if I use my hands, a washcloth or a real cleaning brush. I've been using this product for a few months now and most of them don't seem to go anywhere unless I manually remove them. Finally, I will probably try Stridex or other face masks to get rid of my blackheads once and for all. But I will continue to use Equate, at least for its excellent fat burning properties!
