After noticing my toddler becoming more mobile I needed to find latches for my closets. The previous versions I've had with my older kids in the past were easy to open once they learned how to operate the mechanism, but it also requires a bit of force on this one, so little hands don't have to squeeze the spring. The hand is also a lot smaller, which is nice as I can adjust its position so that the stye opens wide enough to insert a finger to push the hand down. This means that he cannot analyze and solve the problem as easily as my others did 2 years ago. I would definitely recommend them and would buy them again or as a gift for new parents.
