Review on Wenzel BOULDERDASCHE 33 Backpack Khaki Plaid by Megan Walker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent little package for the price.

Perfectly functional backpack. Small enough for a day pack but large enough for an ultra light 2-3 day trip. External attachment points for additional gear or compartments are a plus. The straps are wide and comfortable, but the lack of a chest strap is noticeable. Well thought-out pocket sizes. The side pockets are just the right size for your average bottle of Nalgene or Yeti, while the top flap pocket is perfect for things you want easy access to. Not sure why the inner pocket is called a laptop sleeve, I don't know many people who take their laptop on a hike, but it's good for hydration bladders. The main downside is that the zippers are pretty flimsy. I will replace them with paracord or leather for strength and durability. The biggest plus is the lightweight hardware of the strap. The buckles and adjusters are metal instead of plastic, eliminating the need to break them in the woods.

Pros
  • Holds 33 liters of everything you need
Cons
  • Good but not great
