Review on Yokohama Ice Guard IG65 215/65 R17 103T winter by Adam Joks ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like everything, the price and quality are acceptable.

In general, the impression is not very good. Before that was the first generation Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic. It holds both asphalt and porridge better, but in 5 years it fell into disrepair, retaining half of the spikes, a beating appeared, so it was replaced with Yokohama 65. During the run-in it was very slippery, as the spikes were worn out, it became better, but still the confidence in it is somehow not enough, most likely I will change to another.

Pros
  • Quiet tires, lots of studs that work well on ice. After the first season, all the spikes are in place. Well balanced, the most running tires, so the stores are usually fresh.
Cons
  • Not a very good tread pattern. The central lamellas are narrow, they are immediately clogged with snow, only the side ones work, this can be seen from the tire track, which is why it is slippery on porridge and asphalt.

Pros: Apart from the noise, there are no complaints. With its cons: In near zero weather, they buzz very strongly.
