Nice compact device, love the WiFi/Alexa integration.

I bought this to replace a similar sized Carrier brand that has finally died after 19 years! Unfortunately, Carrier doesn't seem to make any more devices that go through the wall. My research led me to this device, I liked the Alexa integration aspect as this device is installed at eye level in the corner or in our office. This is used to cool that one room during the day so entire house systems are not being used when not needed. I initially chose Carrier after seeing it in action in the company's small office. He was very calm and I liked that a lot. So this is the device. I was unable to use the old Carrier grommet when installing, the new unit was 1/2" wider and 1 1/2" shorter in height. I bought the frigidaire sleeve recommended in the manual and made the hole in the wall to match. The new device looks well made, more compact and more modern than the old Carrier device. Airflow seems to be better both inside and outside the sections, they have used foam insulation inside which should help against condensation when used. Setup was pretty easy, you download an app to connect the device to your home WiFi and manage all your settings from the phone. how to register "Skill" in Alexa for voice control. It only took a few minutes and so far everything is working perfectly. Also included is an IR remote control. When running the unit produces a lot of cold air, unfortunately it is noisier than the old Carrier unit, the compressor is quiet but the fan is noisy even at low levels, they could have used a better fan blade design or a lower speed option than it does currently has. Higher speeds sound even louder. I love every aspect of this device except the noise level, well.
